So many of us love walking beneath the arched Plain trees in Bishops Park. This is the site where the start of the Oxford and Cambridge boat race brings a frenzy of excited crowds once a year in May. I was inspired to paint this little story when I saw two sailing boats  gently wending their way down the river and I felt a deep sense of how delightfully tranquil the other 364 days are.
