Chelsea Waterfront was the inspiration for this latest piece of colourful contemporary art. This artwork captures a walk at sunset taking in the perfect combination of spectacular new and old architecture, the curve of Chelsea Creek and the complexity of the bridges and the view all the way to the Shard.
The evening skies here, even though they face East, are glorious. And everywhere is illuminated by the sunset's, "Golden hour".
I visited this spot to experience the richness and saturation. I was not disappointed. There is a perfect moment when the lights of Albert Bridge start to sparkle in the distance and the whole scene is magical. I painted it so you could feel it too.
 
 The newly renovated Lots Road Power Station Powerhouse and surrounding area have been transformed; old smoke transformed into contemporary living. The architecture of the original building is spectacular and the clever new towers create a perfect arrangement. I had to capture it!
